John Zimmers is the Republican candidate for Illinois' 19th House district, on Chicago's far Northwest side, which also includes three precincts in Harwood Heights. He is a 25-year resident of the Portage Park neighborhood and has a passion for the Northwest Side. John is involved in the Spread Love Chicago charity located in the Belmont-Cragin area, and resides in a classic Chicago bungalow. He graduated from Elmhurst College with a degree in Bachelor's of Applied Science in Business Administration after playing Division 1 Football at Washburn University & Harper Junior College. Fun Fact: John is also a former Junior Olympian in Judo, after having much success as a youth in the martial arts on the North Shore of Chicago. 

John knows the 19th district very well and has been involved in all aspects of real estate at a high level for decades, helping buyers, sellers and investors better purchase, manage, and sell property, while saving them hundreds of thousands of dollars through intelligent, data-driven negotiations and operational expertise. John has personally overseen and managed marquee assets for clients including 450 units in two well-known Gold Coast highrises, 1800 apartments at 45 individual sites, as well as two of Chicago's premier office/gallery buildings with over 325,000 square feet of space.

John's depth of real estate knowledge in Chicagoland includes the prestigious CPM (Certified Property Manager) designation, the ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) designation, and the SFR (Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource) designation. Zimmers' nealy 30 years as a licensed real estate agent give him the unique perspective of having advised families through multiple real estate boom & bust cycles, giving them sage advice to overcome challenges & increase appreciation potential.
